We're looking for a full-time Residential Nurse for our Troy Neuro Skills Center, where you will provide compassionate care to our Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Clients.

Day shift/8 hours (some on-call availability required)

General Summary

The Residential Nurse provides active leadership as a member of the assigned residential interdisciplinary team. Provide guidance and direct delivery of clinical nursing care to residential clients by utilizing appropriate and required nursing interventions in response to the direction of a physician. In addition, the Residential Nurse provides guidance and direction to the team in order to assure that each client maintains a proper level of physical health.

Essential Duties

  • Participates in pre-admission assessments of potential residential clients as appropriate.
  • Reviews referral documentation and assists in identifying appropriateness of each potential admission and makes admission decision in consensus with Rehabilitation Services Representative and Residential Manager.
  • Provides overall leadership and support to interdisciplinary team as it relates to nursing care, treatment, and planning for assigned residential clients


  • Current State of Michigan license as a practical (LPN) or registered nurse (RN).
  • Two to three years' experience in health care, preferably related to care and rehabilitation of persons with acquired brain and spinal cord injury.
  • Excellent nursing skills and knowledge of nursing / medical practices necessary in a residential neuro rehabilitation setting.
  • Knowledge of basic case management practices.
  • Ability to perform or demonstrate all basic care skills necessary in a residential treatment setting.
  • Effective leadership, teaching and mentoring skills.
