GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Neuropsychologist will work full time and provide neuropsychological assessment and scoring, meets with client and family to go over results, and all related services of providing a neuropsychological report and neuropsychological services through all Special Tree systems and locations (i.e. Romulus, Troy, Midland, and Saginaw). The Neuropsychologist ensures that overall strategies, goal plans, quality of practices, program development, and new product development are followed in accordance with Special Tree's mission and vision and value statement, regulatory agencies, accrediting agencies, company policies and procedures.  The neuropsychologist serves as a role model and a mentor for the LLPs, providing occasional supervision, and works with speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists in the area of cognitive rehabilitation on the finding of the neuropsychological reports and RBANS. The Neuropsychologist will also provide psychotherapy services and assist with crises as needed. 

Full-time/Day Shift

Candidate must be flexible to travel weekly to Troy and intermittent visits to Midland and Saginaw locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.
  • Must be a fully licensed Psychologist.
  • Experience with neuropsychological testing and report writing.
  • Must be of good moral character.

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for job duties listed above.
  • Ability to manage areas of responsibility in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policy and procedures.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to develop policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal skills and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, families and staff.
  • Strong interest in working with clients and their families.
  • Flexible to meet all needs of the Neuro Care Center and other Special Tree locations.
  • Ability to determine and use appropriate and effective techniques in interacting with clients including awareness of and compliance with behavior plans as appropriate.
  • Must be of good moral character.
