Job Summary:

 The Fitness Instructor/Program Coordinator will develop a comprehensive fitness and wellness program and provide leadership to the Day Treatment Services Fitness Programs in both Wayne and Oakland Counties. Fitness Instructor collaborates to ensure appropriate treatment and rehabilitation goals are developed and implemented. Ensures that each client's fitness related rehabilitation services are implemented in a manner that provides the client with the best opportunity for recovery and enhanced quality of life.

This position is part-time (20-25 hours) with day and afternoon availability.

Flexibility to travel to offsite locations.


  • Current Personal Training/Group Fitness certification through recognized accreditation organization
  • Previous leadership experience in Health & Wellness program planning and management necessary.
  • Experience in working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries and / or other neurological / psychiatric disorders and special needs preferred.
  • Demonstrates adequate computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, team members, interdisciplinary team members, external case leaders, families, and external contacts.
  • Ability to delegate work and responsibilities to various members of the team, ensuring that all necessary tasks get accomplished.
  • Strong interest in working closely with clients, their families, and the surrounding communities.Valid driver's license and must meet company established criteria regarding driving record.
