General Summary:  

The Children's Services Summer Activity Aide is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the summer program for our rehabilitation clients and will act as an assistant to the program leaders.

Camp duration schedule:

June 1st, 2018 thru August 24th, 2018


  • Assist with facilitation of daily programs, including set-up and clean-up of crafts, games, outings, educational plans, etc.
  • Assist with checking in students in and out for the day.
  • Maintain headcount throughout the daily activities and outings.
  • Assist with individual hygiene and grooming needs, including toileting, washing up etc.
  • Assist with managing lunch time including preparing lunches upon arrival of students.
  • Assist with positive behavior management with students. Required to attend educational session to gain knowledge of behavior program.
  • Assist with transportation issues including but not limited to loading, unloading, and driving to and from destinations.
  • Assist with daily documentation/reporting to team leaders.


  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • One year of college; required.
  • Previous experience in planning and leading group activities, recreation therapy, or similar experiences preferred.
  • Experience working with youth and adolescents with disabilities preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and have the ability to drive a large van.
  • Should possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must successfully complete of all required STRS training.
  • Great interpersonal skills and feel comfortable interacting with a diverse group of children and adults both at the facility and in the community.
