Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant, as a member of an interdisciplinary care team, assists with appropriate therapeutic intervention under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to maximize the client's physical functioning. Active participation is required in discipline in-services and educational programs. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides quality client care considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs. Participates in care conferences and team meetings in consultation with the Physical Therapist and directly assist with administering tests and assessment procedures.

Must be able to travel to Midland and Saginaw locations.

Availability: part-time day/shift (20 hours per week)


  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy; required
  • Must be a licensed PTA in the state of Michigan
  • One year experience working with variety of clients in a rehabilitation setting
  • Experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries and / or other neurological/psychiatric disorders; preferred
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with interdisciplinary team, clients, and families
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks as well as strong documentation and data entry skills
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record.  Occasional travel to various locations within the Wayne County area may be required.
  • Excellent work ethic.
