General Summary:

The nursing unit support position combines client care and clerical responsibilities.


Shift requirements: 3:00PM - 11:00PM


Maintains visual surveillance of clients viewed on video monitoring system and completes all required documentation.

Assists with the log of client cigarettes.

Practices infection control as directed by the Department of Public Health, as well as Universal Precautions as specified by the Center for Disease Control.

Behaves in accordance with the Mission and Values of Special Tree.

Assumes personal and team responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner to assure safety for oneself and for clients and co-workers.

Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to clients and their families 



Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for job duties described above.

Must possess skills necessary to identify and report changes in client.

Strong interest in working closely with clients and their families.

Ability to sit up to 100% of work time.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Must be of good moral character and demonstrate the ability to perform his/her job responsibilities.
